The projects goal was to create a game prototype involving sliding mechanics with a feeling of nostalgia. Many of us remember the specific level in Super Mario 64,”Big penguin race”, where Mario races a penguin to the down of the hill.
Projects goal was also to create something new with the mechanic and learn more about developing for mobile using Unity.
The projects goal was to create a game prototype involving sliding mechanics with a feeling of nostalgia. Many of us remember the specific level in Super Mario 64,”Big penguin race”, where Mario races a penguin to the down of the hill.
The team also wanted to create something new with the mechanic and learn more about developing for mobile using Unity.
Prototype was tested as part of an art exhibition, and we got positive feedback regarding the nostalgia factor. Game was hard, but fun to play for both adults and children.
For next levels we wanted to implement something grander, such as a scene of a lion seal chasing the penguin or trying to eat it along the way to create a sense of emergency and things for player to avoid.
